OPTIMIZATION OF CUTTING MODE ON CNC MILLING MACHINE WITH SDK61 STEEL MATERIAL

Abstract

Determining the cutting mode according to optimal surface roughness criteria when machining SKD61 alloy steel is an essential requirement in production By combining theory and experimentation, the authors have identified a mathematical model linking surface roughness and cutting parameters when machining SKD61 steel on the X.mill M640 milling machine, thus providing a basis for determining the set of cutting parameters according to the optimal criterion of surface roughness. The research results can be applied in production as well as serve as a foundation for application to similar materials.
