Abstract

This article utilizes the AVL-Boost software to simulate the effects of using biofuels E5, E10, E20, E85 blended with gasoline RON 92 in internal combustion engines. Specifically, the study investigates the engine power when blending biofuels with gasoline Ron 92 at certain ratios. The tests were kept unchanged. The results show that when using biofuels combined with gasoline RON 92, the engine power tends to decrease, fuel consumption rate increases, CO and HC emission concentraitions decrease, and Nox concentraition increases. Based on the simulation study, recommendation are made for manufacturers and users regarding the appropriate ratios of biofuels in gasoline RON 92 for optimal performance.
