Abstract

With current fuel consumption rates, the crude oil reserves are predicted to be depleted within the next 50 years. Therefore, scientists worldwide are striving to improve the reduction of fossil fuel consumption and reduce harmful emissions caused by combustion engines. This article summarizes studies using catalytic systems to create hydrogen-rich gas for internal combustion engines, analyzes advantages and disadvantages as well as compares the effectiveness of catalytic systems to create hydrogen-rich gas. From there, evaluate the efficiency of using hydrogen fuel generated from the catalyst, serving as an important basis for experimental research in Vietnam.
