IMPACT OF NON-TAX BARRIERS TO VIETNAM'S AGRICULTURE EXPORT TODAY

Abstract

In the past period, the world economy has been facing enormous challenges from the rise of trade protectionism. Non-tariff barriers have proven to be effective tools for countries to implement their protectionist policies. This has been causing great impacts on the globalization process, reducing the healthy competition in global trade. In that context, Vietnam's agricultural exports are also greatly affected by non-tariff barriers of importing countries. This article assesses the current situation of agricultural exports and the impact of non-tariff barriers on the development of Vietnam's agricultural exports in the period 2017-2021, thereby proposing solutions to develop the country's agricultural products. Export development of Vietnamese agricultural products in the period of 2022 - 2030.
