ASSESSMENT OF SUSTAINABLE OPERATION OF BAC NINH CITY WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

Abstract

Based on theoretical research on the sustainability of the wastewater treatment plant and activities of the Bac Ninh urban wastewater treatment plants (i.e., wastewater treatment technology; investment capital rate, organization and management; O&M costs; cost savings: energy, chemicals, operation...; financial recovery mechanism...). The author gives an assessment of the sustainability of activities of Bac Ninh urban wastewater treatment plants by following criteria: capacity and efficiency of wastewater treatment, adaptability of wastewater treatment technology to local conditions, operating and maintenance costs, operating conditions of construction and equipment, adaptability of climate changes and input factor changes, safety and environment-friendly processes and possibility that Bac Ninh WWTP is guaranteed with sustainable operation during operation and management under the proposed criteria.
