Abstract

Mining and using wind energy to develop electrical source is a trend which is famous for researchers over the world. Especially,  The more  fossil energy product, the less fossil energy source and fossil energy is to cause pollution of environment. This paper focuses on the design and optimization of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (SPM) for wind turbine systems using the finite element method with ANSYS Maxwell software. This SPM is compared with other types of generators such as SCIG, WRIG, SG, DFIG, and SRG. Through analysis and design, the paper highlights the significant advantages of SPM in improving efficiency and reliability while reducing production costs. The research results show that SPM can meet the requirements for high efficiency and low cost, helping to promote the development of renewable energy in Vietnam.
